The cities of Santa Maria and Lompoc have coordinated their PEG facilities to save on duplication of administrative efforts and equipment costs. The MPEG encoders and feed to the local Comcast Cable company for both cities are located in Santa Maria, and each city has its own production studio and government event broadcast equipment. Fiber optic communication network links the two city facilities and the cable company.
TAP chose NewTek VT[3] systems for their cost effective abilities to handle live production to tape for subsequent encoding to broadcast MPEG2 using an automated encoding and server system. TAP chose Videobotics.com because of our long history working with NewTek systems (including systems for the same cable company in the past) and our location in Santa Maria for delivery, installation, and service of the NewTek systems.
Videobotics has also worked extensively with local broadcast Telemundo affiliate, KTAS-TV who have multiple VT[3]/VT[4] systems for live broadcast of their daily news as well as for post production and creating commercials for local and distant clients.
Additional VT[3] and VT[4] systems from Videobotics are in place in Long Beach, Camarillo, Santa Barbara, Lompoc, and Clovis and other locations outside California. We have worked with commercial broadcasters, private video production firms, and religious media production customers. We'll be happy to work with you.
