AV8RPro++ Advanced Flyer Timeline System Features
The AV8RPro++ Flyer-Direct-Access Features
A++ has some new and very direct methods of accessing the Flyer's own GUI. A++ can click on the Flyer GUI 'buttons' as if you did it yourself with your mouse. A++ can also observe the Flyer's GUI for the presence of windows, requesters, and other overlays and click on their 'buttons' as well. A++ has an unprecedented ability to integrate directly into the Flyer's GUI.
A++ can access the Flyer's GUI to:
- Open a control panel of an item you've selected/highlighted on the Timeline or EDL
- Auto-update the Flyer's project display to update/highlight the correct crouton
- Completely operate the Flyer's Project 'Play' and 'Play-From' buttons
- Activate the Play or Play-From buttons
- Wait during 'Project Preparing Sequence' window display
- Detect appearance of 'Project Ready To Play - OK/Cancel' window
- Click the OK button in that window to start the actual playback of the project
A++ can perform operations that can immediately precede or succeed the steps that occur during Project Play or Project Play-From. Because A++ is in charge of operating the steps that the Flyer performs to lead up to actual video playback, A++ can send the proper edit commands to VCR decks, activate GPI triggers, activate triggered time code hardware, etc. at the very moment of (or just after) triggering the Flyer to play its project (by clicking the 'OK' button). The AFDA capabilities support the advanced A++ features of VCR-editing and time-code hardware (and GPI) triggering. Since A++ is orchestrating the operation of the Flyer in a totally new way, it can synchronize the Flyer's project video output with other equipment and software events.
